Having grown up on a farm in Western Iowa, Sandy dreamt for years of creating an organic growing operation at River Woods, where she owns six acres, tucked along the Missouri River. She has been preparing for that move for the past three years and has ceased using chemicals for weed or pest control. Sandy, who has worked for 30 years as a psychiatric social worker, is married and has two adult daughters.
